Ipswich Town have recalled Elliott Hewitt from his loan spell at Colchester United.
Town made the decision to recall the 20-year-old this afternoon, as defensive cover due to Jonathan Parr’s recent injury and also Tyrone Mings’ impending suspension.
Hewitt has rattled up 24 appearances, in all competitions, for the U’s since his move to the Weston Homes Community Stadium last October.
Operating both as a right-back and a right-midfielder, Hewitt also scored a quality goal in the 2-0 away win at Peterborough, one of his 21 league outings.
Neither the U’s or Town are in action this weekend, due to the international break.
