IAN Ellis of Weston Park, winner of the PGA East Region Order of Merit and qualifier for Stage Two of the PGA European Tour School, was top professional at the Maldon pro-am.
His three-under-par round of 68 beat Ryan Pudney of Royal Cromer by one shot.
A double bogey at the 378-yard 18th hole, his 14th, was Pudney's only blemish.
Joint team winners were Mark Stokes of Rayleigh Golf Range and Andrew Cotton of Ufford Park who were 10 under par. Teams with Ian Ashenden (Toot Hill), Jon Bevitt (Moor Park) and Alex Lucas (Waldringfield) were one shot behind.
