COLCHESTER United defender George Elokobi has signed for Championship rivals Wolves in a deal that just beat the transfer deadline.
The Cameroon-born full-back, 22, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed six-figure fee, according to Wolves' official website.
Elokobi joined Colchester in the summer of 2004 from non-league Dulwich Hamlet and has made 17 appearances this season, scoring one goal.
He made his intentions clear when he handed in a transfer request after losing his place in the team in November.
