The Ipswich and District Badminton League end of season party took place at Goals Soccer Centre, with the event also commemorating the 70th anniversary of The League which was founded in 1947.
IDBL Chairperson, Linda Shepherd, presented trophies to the Corinthians, Meridians, Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Abbeygate, Belstead and Thorpeness clubs who were all divisional winners.
For the first time in the club’s long history, Corinthians, who joined the league in 1956, won the division one titles for the mixed, ladies and men’s leagues with a combined total of 31 victories from 36 matches.
The Thorpeness mixed team gained promotion with their fourth successive title, both Kesgrave men’s teams won their respective divisions and Abbeygate B won division 3 in both the mixed and men’s leagues. A great night was had by all at the end of a successful season.
