Record-breaking England coach Eddie Jones will be a special guest at Sudbury Rugby Club on Friday evening.

The Australian, who led England to this year’s 6-Nations title and broke Sir Clive Woodward’s record for most England wins on the trot, will be fulfilling a promise he made to Sudbury coach Ben Scully when he arrives in Suffolk.

Scully recently completed a year-long internship working under Jones with England and, as a result, the former Australia head coach will take the first XV training session at Whittome Field, ahead of Sudbury’s final home game of the season against Saffron Walden on Saturday.

Jones will go through the team’s tactics with Sudbury’s players, ahead of the Saffron Walden games, and he is expected to hold a question and answer session with club members afterwards.

Scully, who has recently been appointed as Norway’s head coach, was part of England’s training sessions prior to games and was then on the bench during them.
