Moyes sent top spy Robbie Cooke to watch Lazovic score for the Dutch giants at the weekend as he weighs up a move for him in the next transfer window.

The Goodison chief had spotted Lazovic after watching his country twice in recent friendlies. He was initially checking on Jovanovic, but he seems reluctant to come to England unless it is to join a Champions League contender.

Moyes was taken by target man Lazovic as he looks to bring in a new striker - with Yakubu off form and Jo yet to spark this season. He may even offload one or both of them to raise cash.

The Everton boss also made a personal check on Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo at the weekend. He is on loan at Blackburn Rovers, who want to make the move full-time.

Moyes likes Di Santo and Chelsea may be willing to trade him if they step up their interest in Everton's versatile young Englishman Jack Rodwell.
