Taylor scored the opener from a penalty corner, flicking the ball home past the home side's keeper.
Makin, whose pace crucified Felixstowe's defence all game, scored his first of the season shortly afterwards to leave IES two up at the break.
The home side started the better and soon grabbed a goal back after a defensive mix-up and poor keeping by Lane who allowed Phil Goode to nip the ball off his feet and score in the empty net.
IES were kicked into a restoring a two goal cushion and did so from Tingey, who flicked home a neat finish midway through the half.
Felixstowe came back again and scored through the influential Woodhouse who dragged the ball past Lane.
IES battled back to win 4-2 though as Taylor finished a clean move with a blast into the bottom corner.
