The Academy’s talented year 11 football team face a pivotal seven days in their young careers, at the beginning of next month, writes Chris Brammer.

The team have made two cup finals and will be hoping for positive results in both of them.

First up is the Suffolk Schools’ County final in which the team will play King Edwards at Ipswich Wanderers’ Humber Doucy Lane ground on May 1, 7pm kick-off.

Then, seven days later, the Academy play in a regional final, which is the conclusion of a competition featuring a number of local schools, and will take on Farlingaye High School at Gainsborough Sports Centre on May 8, 4pm kick-off.
