There is little doubt confidence is high in the ‘Sackers’ Witches camp right now and they have a great chance to cement their position in the end-of-season play-offs with victory tonight and more points at Rye House on Saturday night.
Before Somerset’s result last night, Workington were heading the Premier League. However two home defeats – one to the Witches – has put the brakes on them pulling away at the summit.
Ipswich boss Pete Simmons knows the importance of continuing their good form.

And he also knows how much the Cumbrian side will want revenge after the Witches narrow win on the big Derwent Park track earlier in the season.
“The Comets must be still hurting after we turned them over at their place at the end of June ending their long running home winning run,” Simmons said.

“With that in mind we certainly mustn’t now slip up ourselves and undo all that hard work put in over the last few weeks which has seen our position strengthen each week in the play-off zone.
“Another three league points tonight and some points on Saturday at Rye House and I believe we can really go places in 2013 as the higher up that top six we can finish the better.”
Simmons is right to feel confident, however, with the Witches having thrashed Redcar on Saturday night. But no two meetings are ever the same and Ipswich will need to be confident, but also on their guard.
Ipswich are back to full strength this week with Adam Ellis, (pictured), returning to the side after his World U21 wild card entry last Saturday night prevented him riding against Redcar.
For Workington, reserve Ashley Morris will take a late fitness test and if he fails his place will be taken by a NL guest.
