Ipswich Witches 55 Workington Comets 35
IPSWICH ‘Sackers’ Witches produced a terrific performance to give themselves a great chance of progress in this season’s KO Cup.
The Suffolk side would have settled for a 20-point lead long before the tie started, but the way they went about achieving it was hugely impressive.
Led by the fast-starting Rohan Tungate and with Jason Doyle, guesting for Ben Barker who was in British semi-final action, in breathtaking form, Ipswich just kept the screw turning on the Comets.
Every Witch played his part, with the returning Ritchie Hawkins chipping in with a vital four points.
