Sudbury Athletic 4 Mistley United 0

Playing against a very strong wind Athletic put in a workman like display in the first half. Mistley started the sharper and were attacking in numbers at every opportunity but Athletic's defence was in no mood to give anything away. With some heavy tackles going in Andy Evers picked up a booking. Athletic went in front on 30 minutes when Mark Adams, who caused Mistley all sorts of problems, running at them with the ball, was pulled down in the area. Danny Twyman converted.

Athletic took control in the second half and increased their lead when St Ledger's goal kick found Twymans who cushioned a header for Glitz to lay in Adams, who ran past the defenders and fired past Honeybadger. Athletic's third goal was scored by Glitz when Twyman played him in to finish well. Athletic nearly made it four when Ratcliff worked his way into the area only to be denied by Honeybadger. Mark Adams did make it four when Michael Owen cut in from the left and fired past the keeper, only for Adams to finish it off on the goal-line.
