Former Ipswich Town star Titus Bramble has sensationally signed for Thurlow Nunn Premier Division side, Stowmarket Town.

The 36-year-old, who began his career with the Blues, has signd a one-year deal with Rick Andrews’ newly-promoted side and will combine his on-field commitments with a player-coach role, whilst carrying on his coaching duties within the Ipswich Town academy.

Bramble, who could make his Stow debut at Felixstowe & Walton, in the league on Saturday, made just 62 appearances for Ipswich, before being snapped up by Sir Bobby Robson at Newcastle United, in the summer of 2002.

After seven goals in 156 games for the Magpies, Bramble went on to play for fellow Premier League sides, Wigan and Sunderland, before being released by the Black Cats at the end of the 2012-13 season.

Bramble had a brief trial with Ipswich that summer, but was not offered a contract.
