Released Ipswich Town winger Alex Henshall has signed for Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.

The youngster, signed from Manchester City in the summer of 2014, had his contract terminated by mutual consent at the start of February after making just five appearances for the Blues.

His only start came in the 1-0 Capital One Cup loss to Crawley in August 2014, while he also made two appearances while on loan at Blackpool at the start of 2015.

He has now joined up with Kilmarnock, managed by former Huddersfield, Birmingham and Blackpool boss Lee Clark, until the end of the season.
