Former Ipswich Town youngster Jordan Rhodes has sealed a £10m move from Premier League outfit Middlesbrough, to the Blues’ Championship rivals, Sheffield Wednesday.
The 26-year-old, who father Andy is goalkeeping coach at Hillsborough – having held a similar position at Portman Road – began his career with Town, but made just 10 substitute appearances, scoring one goal, before being sold to Huddersfield by then-manager Roy Keane.
Since leaving Suffolk, former Kesgrave High School pupil Rhodes – a full Scotland international – has scored 187 goals in 364 senior appearances for the Terriers, Blackburn, and during loan spells at Brentford and Rochdale.
