Girls at a Suffolk school are celebrating after winning a hockey championship for the fourth year running.

Framlingham College 1st XI girls became U18 County Champions again after defeating Culford, Ipswich and Woodbridge Schools on the way to the title.

Head girl Grace Trembath gave the team the lead in the final, with captain Freya Pelling sealing the county title with a short-range finish.

The team now progresses to the regional finals in the hope of representing Suffolk in the national finals for the second consecutive year.

Head of hockey Jamie Kingstone said: “We started superbly and, despite strong pressure on the evening, the girls performed admirably, with wave after wave of attacks. It was a fitting moment that captain Freya Pelling sealed the victory in the final.”
