National Hot Rods are at Foxhall on Bank Holiday Monday.
Foxhall Stadium is again the setting for Bank Holiday motorsport action, writes Dean Cox.
The National Hot Rods are back in town to contest what is in effect Round 11 of the World Championship Qualifying Series after two rounds earlier this year were lost to snow.
This means the round is more crucial than ever and every race and every single point won will be vital to the Race Teams.
The 2018 National Hot Rod Championship of the World and Spedeweekend on July 7 & 8 is but weeks away now and qualification has never been more hotly contested.
The bangers are also in action contesting round four of their Whip St Motors Ipswich Track Championship Series.
Previous rounds have seen superb turn outs of cars and some incredible action so expect this encounter to be another very lively affair.
To add further spice, it is also a World Championship Qualifying Round for them too ahead of their big day in November when a new World Champion will be crowned.
So the scene is set to once again be an afternoon not to be missed for Banger Racing fans, as a packed track of cars battle each other around the tarmac doing their best to avoid the infamous Armco Safety Fence which has claimed many a victim over the years.
To complete the afternoon of action, there is the 1300 Stock Cars competing in Round 4 of their Motor Parts Direct Super Series.
This formula has produced some ‘classic’ Stock Car action in recent weeks and Foxhall is a place where they always get stuck in so Race Fans can expect a fantastic afternoon’s racing from three highly entertaining Formulas!
The action gets underway at 2pm and turnstiles open at 12.30pm.
