There was a picturesque new course to tackle as Ipswich JAFFA Running Club hosted the latest fixture in 53-12 Cross Country League today.
Starting and finishing at the Suffolk Food Hall in Wherstead, overlooking the River Orwell, the winter sun melted away a sharp frost to make for perfect running conditions for both the junior and senior runners.
The excellent two-lap course took the hundreds of runners under the Orwell Bridge and then around fields at the back of the Food Hall.
And it proved to be another successful day for the host club, with Ipswich JAFFA’s Matthew Spencer winning the race and the team taking the overall win.
