Ruthless Ipswich Witches kept their play-off final places on track with a commanding performance against Somerset Rebels at Foxhall Stadium.
The visitors had no answer to the home side who were at it from the off, with the visitors suffering the blow of losing No.1 Olly Allen in the first race.
That clearly didn’t help them, but quite frankly the Witches were so good, Allen’s presence would only have made the score closer, but not changed this result.
This was an awesome effort from the Witches and if they can reproduce it in Lincolnshire on Friday, with a draw or win – at Scunthorpe – they will book themselves a spot in the play-off final. Their final meeting in the group is at Somerset Friday week.

On Thursday and without Morten Risager, who was ruled out with mouth ulcers, the six Witches could not be faulted.
Led by Richie Worrall who roared to a brilliant 15 points in what was his best Foxhall performance this season, the Witches were too good against a Somerset side who did stick to their task and got some rewards late on.

The Witches travel to Scunthorpe on tonight. A draw or win will put the Suffolk side into the play-off final, where they would meet Edinburgh.
A point will still see the Witches in with a chance, as their last meeting in the group is at Somerset next Friday.
