Newmarket’s Goldie Sayers was just outside the medals in the javelin with her throw of 59.23m seeing her finish fifth at the Diamond League meeting in New York last night.
Elsewhere, Lawrence Okoye came fifth in the discus with a distance of 63.87m and British Olympic hopeful Robbie Grabarz had to settle for second place in the high jump.
