Suffolk’s Goldie Sayers has been selected to represent England at next month’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 31-year-old javelin thrower from Newmarket, has made a remarkable comeback after suffering a serious elbow injury at the 2012 Olympics which required subsequent surgery.
Sayers, who missed the 2010 Commonwealths, finished fourth at the 2008 Olympics.
Sayers tweeted: ‘22 months ago there was a chance I’d never throw again. Today, I’m proud 2 announce I’ve been picked for the Commonwealth Games’
