World No.3 Niels-Kristian Iversen and fellow Grand Prix star Kenneth Bjerre are all set to grace Foxhall Stadium on opening night.

The two Danes will ride in Morten Risager’s Testimonial Meeting on Saturday, March 22, the first meeting of the season at Foxhall.

Witches star Risager, a fellow Dane, is celebrating 10 years in the sport and admitted he is delighted to have the two GP racers on the bill.

“I’ve known both Niels and Kenneth for practically all my career,” he said.

“Myself and Kenneth rode 80cc together in Denmark as we were growing up, and when I lived in Peterborough, Niels lived not far away, so I spent a lot of time with him then, but he’s a couple of years older than me, so we didn’t do the 80cc’s together.

“Both are great riders and I’m so pleased they have said they will do it. This was always my plan, to bring some of the world’s best riders to Foxhall for my testimonial.

“And I’m still working on getting another GP rider or hopefully two.”

While Witches fans will look forward to seeing world stars at Foxhall on opening night – Iversen had his best-ever season in the sport in 2013 – Risager was also quick to delight in having almost all the Witches in attendance too.

“Nearly all my Witches team-mates will be racing,” said Risager.

“Only Adam (Ellis) can’t make the date because of a commitment in France, while Richie Worrall is waiting for his Polish fixture list. If that’s OK, he will be there.

“But the rest of the boys will be racing which I’m so happy about.”

Risager is the only rider still in the ‘Sackers’ Witches team from the original side that first entered the Premier League in 2011.

He first came to England in 2004 riding for Coventry as a 16-year-old.

Now a Witches asset, he is hoping to get a few former Witches favourites back on their bikes for his meeting, including promoter Chris Louis.

“Chris Louis and Jeremy Doncaster are going to have a few races, and I’m hoping Mark Loram too,” explained Risager.

“I want fans to have a really good night of racing and I want to put on a good show.”
