Grasshoppers 5 Lowestoft II 1
Despite missing a few key players, the home side started strongly and dominated the midfield.
The defence also had an outstanding game as Laura Quinn kept Lowestoft's main threat of Susan Rogers quiet. It was from the defence that the first goal came, as a quick switch of play from a cross-field pass found Amy Willis whose guided ball found Sophie Tarrant who slotted the ball past an outstretched keeper.
This opened up the floodgates with Beverly Blackburn scoring a hat trick in the first half.
In the second half the visitors dug their heels in to prevent a rout and were rewarded for their efforts with a consolation goal. Blackburn replied with another goal to add to her tally.
