GREAT Britain have won gold in the women’s team pursuit at the Track World Cup event in Colombia, earning an emphatic victory over New Zealand.
Paralympic gold medallist Sarah Storey and world champions Wendy Houvenaghel and Laura Trott worked together combined for a winning time of three minutes and 31.835 seconds.
New Zealand, the fastest in qualifying, were timed at three minutes and 37.072 seconds as Lauren Ellis, Jamie Nielsen and Alison Shanks took the silver medal.
The United States claimed bronze by beating Lithuania.
