Division 3NE
Harleston III 0 Ipswich East Suffolk II 2
Ipswich East Suffolk II made it three wins in a row away to Harleston Magpies at the weekend.
After a slow start IES took the game to the home team and were passing the ball well. IES took the lead after a slick pass from Coulson picked out the unmarked Francis who slotted the ball home.
Harleston made very few attacks and Adams was only forced to make one good save. IES knew one goal would not be enough though and, working the ball down the right, they found themselves two-on-one with the keeper. Faffam passed the ball around the keeper for M Day to take advantage of an open goal.
The second half became a stalemate and IES had to reshuffle the team with two injuries to the defence, however, they still managed to keep Harleston at bay to take all three points. IES have now confirmed a place in 3NE next season with one game left to play at home to local rivals Ipswich.
