This was a bottom of the table clash which saw Harleston come away with the vital points. The first 15 minutes saw IES start confidently, moving the ball well and playing some good hockey. However, they were soon 1-0 down to one of Harleston's few attacking moves. The introduction of Nicky Fuller into the forward line, linked with the strong midfield play of captain Linda Rose and Shelley Pleasence, gave IES the opportunity to play some more attacking hockey but the team were unable to take its chances. By half time IES were two nil down but came back stronger at the start of the second half when Maria Whelan scored from a well-worked short corner. Unfortunately, IES struggled to capitalise on this good start and fell further behind with 3 more goals from an increasingly confident Magpies team, leaving IES to reflect on another 3 points lost.
