Harwich 3 Hadleigh 4

A blustery afternoon at the coast for the inlanders did not bother Hadleigh who dominated the first half with a goal in the first two minutes of the game from debutant Karen.

Hadleigh were attacking strongly with good passing throughout the side. Wesley slotted the second goal home, followed by a cracker from Tennent from Arnolds pass. A second goal from Karen sent Hadleigh into the second half with a 4-2 lead against a side who were determined to fight back. Harwich dominated the second half but Hadleigh's defence kept them at bay. With ten minutes to go Harwich scored a crucial third goal. The Hadleigh defence encountered many penalty corners, but saw out the win to go top of the table.

If that was not enough, the Hadleigh girls were out again on Sunday to play rivals Christchurch ladies in the first round of the Ladies national vase. After a wet start and going into the second half at 1-1 with a goal from Wesley, Hadleigh won the match as Emma cracked a super goal to win and take them into the second round.
