KEVIN Mather and Noel Gambling have resigned from their posts as joint-managers of Ridgeons League Premier Division club Harwich & Parkeston.
The Shrimpers are bottom of the table and without a win in 14 games. However, Mather insists they are quitting because of a development regarding the club's playing budget, rather than results or performances.
He said: “The chairman told us after the game that the budget is being halved.
“With that in mind, we don't feel we can carry on. We don't have a choice."
