Haverhill 1 Ipswich East Suffolk II 0

An brave fight from an injury hit Ipswich East Suffolk side was not quite enough to stop Haverhill securing the title.

Unavailability and injuries saw IES field the bare eleven once again and, with nothing to lose, they began the game in confident mood against the nervous hosts.

IES fought hard in all areas of the pitch to frustrate their opponents, however Haverhill's tension was eased with a well-struck goal past stand in keeper Claxton.

IES continued to press but were unable to make any real chances to test the experienced Haverhill defence.

Gilly Burch, Ben Rabha, Lizzy Burch and Baskett fought hard in defence, preventing many attacks on the IES goal, with Claxton making several impressive saves to keep Haverhill, who average four goals per game, to just the one.

IES can be proud of their performance and can take forward many positive points into their final game against Harwich after the Easter break.
