Colchester United recorded a stunning 3-2 away win at Sheffield United last night, with new signing Marvin Sordell’s goal proving to be the winner.
George Moncur’s brace was wiped out by a retaken penalty from Billy Sharp and another strike from Martyn Woolford, before Sordell struck with eight minutes left to claim the points.
There was still time for another dramatic twist, though, as George Elokobi was sent off for dragging down Sharp for another penalty, but Jamie Jones was the hero as he saved from the former Leeds United man.
