NIGEL Hilliard of Colchester, who is also a member at Aldeburgh, was runner-up in the Alan Hobson Trophy, the South East Counties event for seniors held at North Hants Golf Club.
Five-handicap Hilliard, chairman of Essex County Cricket Club, had rounds of 78 and 72 to finish two shots behind John Summers of Frilford Heath (75 73). Geoff King of West Essex (75 75) was third on count back. Jon Marks of Woodbridge finished in 19th place with a two round total of 161 (80 and 81).
