Results (Northants names first): Malcolm Watkins and Tony Carter beat Jon Marks and Dick Barton one up. Richard Aitken and David Dare lost to Adrian Callaby and Alex Giddens 2 and 1. John Croach and Roger Mayhew lost to Ron Gilchrist and Geoff Henney 2 and 1. Peter Gregory and Tony Worthington beat David Matter and Don Moody one up. Jim Howkins and Dennis Sleath halved with Phil Platten and Charlie Woods.
