IPSWICH cyclist Hugo Robinson is the new National youth cyclo-cross champion after a brilliant ride at the weekend.
The 15-year-old Framlingham schoolboy took the crown in Birmingham at the weekend with a tactical masterstroke against his season-long rival Sam Lowe.
He capitalised on a slip by Lowe in a tricky technical section to edge past and grab a lead which he didn’t relinquish for the rest of the race, coming home 17 seconds clear.
