‘I’m over the moon’ – George Moncur on his loan move from West Ham to Colchester United

George Moncur has completed a loan move to Colchester United, until January 11.

Midfielder Moncur was a regular for the U’s in pre-season and, following clearance from the Football League, the 20-year-old duly signed on loan from West Ham on a six-month deal this afternoon.

Moncur is therefore be available to make his Colchester debut this Saturday, at home to Oldham Athletic, for the League One opener.

“George (Moncur) is a very talented player, who has big potential,” said manager Joe Dunne during this afternoon’s press conference.

Moncur himself enthused: “I’m over the moon to have signed for Colchester United. I look forward to helping the club over the next six months.
