Ipswich East Suffolk 4 Harleston III 0

Ipswich East Suffolk took the three points against Harleston III thanks in part to an Annette White hat trick.

IES began the game slowly, the visiting side attempted many attacks on the IES goal but thanks to some strong saves by Faye Godden their attacks were not rewarded.

The hosts soon found their form and began to play with a little more confidence. This created a chance for White to slot the ball past the keeper for the lead.

Although the home side were ahead, there was still a lot of work to be done and IES were aware that the visitors were not intending to travel home empty handed.

With some half time direction the Rushmere based side switched on their game and came out the more determined and focused side. With pace on the ball and strong tackling IES moved up the pitch with flair, penetrating the Harleston defence and finding the goalmouth.

Annette White increased her goal tally making the score a healthier 2-0. IES could not allow complacency to creep in as the visitors were now stepping up a gear and demanding more of the ball.

Clare Laight made some excellent moves up the right of the pitch and with her determination she was rewarded with a clean strike on goal making the backboard rattle.

In the dying moments of the game White helped herself to another goal giving her a well-earned hat trick.
