Ipswich East Suffolk II 5 Felixstowe 1
Ipswich East Suffolk II started this game on a positive note and had the majority of the play from the whistle. Not long into the game Fuller worked a one-two ball in the D to make a fine leading goal.
After continuous pressure Simpson was on hand to put the rebound from the Felixstowe's goalkeeper safely away, giving the home team a 2-0 lead at half time.
The second half saw Felixstowe make some runs and they were rewarded with a goal when catching the IES defence on the break. This did not stop IES's pressure and they came back with a fine cross from Lawrence to enable Simpson to push the ball in the back of the net.
Stenson, making a guest appearance, made an excellent run to pass to Fuller to score an excellent goal.
Elsom, after continuous work, forced a well timed cross for Lawrence to give the home team a much deserved 5-1 victory.
The whole team played some excellent hockey and with another guest veteran, Gooderham, showing some much appreciated experience.
