IES played some neat controlled possession hockey and were rewarded with another goal from a well-worked short corner by Elsom.
The score at half time did not reflect the game with Johnson in the IES goal untroubled and Ipswich were kept in the game by some good saves from their very young keeper.

IES stepped up their game in the second half with three more well taken goals by Fuller and one by Simpson.
Lack of concentration in the IES defence allowed Ipswich to score a soft goal before debutant Thorpe scored IES's final goal.
Ipswich scored their second goal again after sloppy play from the experienced IES defensive line-up.
