Ipswich East Suffolk went down to an experienced Norwich City side on Saturday.

Starting a man short, Norwich went 2-0 up inside the first eight minutes.

With IES back up to full strength with the addition of Peter Elsom, the hosts started to probe the Norwich goal area and were quickly rewarded with a penalty corner ably converted by Stu List.

However, Norwich countered and having most of the play made the score line 5-1 by the interval.

With the addition of Dave Charles in defence IES were able to push forward with more confidence after the break.

Norwich were equal to the challenge though and repulsed each foray into their goal area and indeed looked dangerous on the break.

IES were able to counter their charge though and conceded no more goals.
