IPSWICH driver Glen Denny is the new overall leader of the Avon Tyres Caterham Superlight Challenge following the Brands Hatch rounds last weekend.
Denny, 27, who is in his maiden season of car racing, claimed a brace of fourth-place race results at the Kent track to maintain his 100 per cent finishing record in the championship and ease three points into the overall lead.
Graham Fennymore, the reigning champion, won both Brands Hatch rounds to make it four consecutive race wins for the Oxfordshire driver.
Bury St Edmunds drivers Will Mitcham and Tony Poole were in action at Brands Hatch also; Mitcham finished respective races in fifth and sixth positions.
Poole was a disappointed non-finisher; after qualifying an encouraging seventh on the grid he was sidelined with engine problems.
The next UK rounds are at Silverstone in mid-August, with the Belgian rounds of the evo Caterham Eurocup scheduled for Spa-Francorchamps on August 3 and 4.
