Ipswich play their last game of the 16-17 season on Saturday and welcome already-relegated Wisbech to Tuddenham Road (12 noon start).
A win will secure second place in the league and whilst winning the league and promotion back to National League would have been nice, this season was about much more than that.
Under the guidance of coach Mariette Rix, Ipswich have developed superbly this season, a bunch of individuals being turned into one of the strongest teams around.
Sadly one player will not be available next season, as co-captain Charlie Anderson, who has been with the club since the age of 13, has decided to take a well-earned break from hockey.
Anderson will leave a huge hole in the side, on and off the pitch, but her inspirational leadership over the years will ensure her legacy lives on for years to come.
