National Trophy cyclo-cross comes to Chantry Park, Ipswich, tomorrow when local stars have a chance to measure themselves against top British riders as well as visitors from Belgium in the second round of the series.

Local eyes will in particular be on Debenham schoolboy rider Hugo Robinson (XRT/Elmy Cycles) who, although one of the youngest riders in the junior race has an excellent chance of making a mark.

The junior race starts at 11.30am and the women set off one minute later.

Olympic TV commentator Hugh Porter will be behind the microphone for the whole series of races, starting at 10.30am with veterans and culminating in the senior men’s race at 2.30.

There will be a good contingent of local riders tackling the flowing parkland course, which is also the venue for the 2012 U23 men’s cyclo-cross championships. Entry for spectators is free.
