Chantry Park looked a picture as unseasonably warm temperatures greeted a field of 263 runners, joggers and walkers for the 318th staging of the Ipswich parkrun on Saturday morning.
Runners made the most of the warm weather, and the dry conditions underfoot, over the one-lap multi-terrain course within the grounds of Chantry Park, starting and finishing near the cricket pavilion.
Emma Attwood, of Stowmarket Striders, had the accolade of finishing the first lady in what was a personal best time on this course of 21mins 44secs.
Young Daisy Brooke, of Ipswich JAFFA, was second female in 22:52, competing in the 15-17 year-old age group. Maria Ward was third in 24:55.
Just six seconds separated the first two runners home. Jack Wilkinson reached the finish-funnel first in 18:36, just 20 seconds adrift of his PB. Gary Taylor, of Felixstowe Road Runners, was second in 18:42.
