Ipswich-born Alex Moon has been named on the bench for England Under-20s’ Six-Nations clash with Wales, at Ashton Gate, on Friday (tomorrow).

The 19-year-old 6ft 8ins lock is a former Ipswich RUFC player and also represented St Joseph’s College during his formative years.

England are currently fourth in the Under-20s Six Nations table, after three games, four points behind the leaders and tomorrow night’s opponents.

A member of Northampton Saints’ Academy, Moon has five caps to his name at under-18 level.

The announcement is a double boost for Moon who, along with fellow Ipswich product, Lewis Ludlam, signed a new deal with Saints today.
