Ipswich Town have signed teenage centre-back Josh Yorwerth on a free transfer following his release by Cardiff City.
The 20-year-old Welsh Under-21 international – who featured for Town in two Under-21 games during a trial towards the back end of last season – has signed a two-year deal, with the club holding the option of extending that by a further year, and will officially join the club on July 1.
Yorwerth, who is yet to make a senior appearance, is likely to be viewed as a member of Mark Kennedy’s development squad.
