Paul Hurst is still weighing up potential changes to his Ipswich Town side for tomorrow night’s visit of Middlesbrough.

The Blues boss expects to have the same squad that featured at Birmingham on Saturday available to him for the televised fixture under the lights, aside from defender Matthew Pennington who is suspended following his red card at St Andrew’s.

Hurst named an unchanged Ipswich side for the first time for Saturday’s 2-2 draw, but the Blues boss is considering changes given they make the 280-mile trip to Swansea at the weekend.

“That’s still something we are giving some thought to and we have over the weekend, too,” Hurst said.

“You’d also like to sometimes get a feel for the players themselves, how they’re feeling, and that can be through a chat or by just observing them during training.

“We can’t name the same again because Matthew Pennington (was sent off) so we definitely have one change.

“The other thing we have here, and it’s not an excuse, is the travelling which certainly comes into you mind going into the weekend.

“That journey (to Swansea) is going to impact us and how we prepare in terms of what we put the lads through.”

Myles Kenlock missed the game with Birmingham due to an ankle injury and will be absent again, while Hurst lost strikers Ellis Harrison (ankle) and Jon Walters (achilles) to long-term injuries last week.
