Ipswich Town’s Tristan Nydam and Flynn Downes get England Under-19 calls for Poland and Germany games

Flynn Downes and Tristan Nydam have been rewarded for their strong starts to Ipswich Town’s season, with call-ups to the England Under-19 squad, ahead of the forthcoming games against Poland and Germany.

The duo have both made their senior Town debuts this season and impressed in league and cup, most recently in the 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat at Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening.

Downes and Nydam will join-up with the Young Lions during the international break that follows Town’s Championship match against Fulham on Saturday.

Ipswich Town trio Andre Dozzell, Flynn Downes and Trevoh Chalobah could have the chance to impress the club’s new management when England’s Under-20s take on Germany in Colchester tonight (7pm ko).
