REINSTATED Ipswich Town will face Lowestoft Town in the semi-finals of the John Banks Suffolk Premier Cup.
Ipswich were knocked out of the competition by Felixstowe & Walton United, who were subsequently thrown out for fielding an ineligible player.
Ipswich Town secretary Sally Webb, who attended tonight’s draw at Suffolk FA headquarters at Stowmarket, said: “We are very pleased to be back in the competition, but sorry it happened under such circumstances. We have played Lowestoft a number of times before and we are looking forward to doing so again.”
The other semi-final will see Bury Town face Ryman League Premier Division rivals Leiston, who they beat on penalties in last season’s semi-final, before losing to Lowestoft in the showpiece final at Portman Road.
LB Group Suffolk Senior Cup holders Whitton United face Corton in the last four with Ipswich sides Ipswich Wanderers and Crane Sports meeting each other.
