ROY Keane has rubbished reports that he recently had a bust-up with teenage striker Connor Wickham.

But he revealed, during today’s Portman Road press conference, that the two did have a difference of opinion on the go-karting track!

The EADT dismissed rumours, spread in the national press last weekend, that the duo had been at loggerheads over Wickham’s lack of time on the pitch. He has been mainly used as a substitute this season, due in part to injuries.

“Rubbish,” said Keane, when questioned about a possible bust-up.

“The only concern was we were go-karting on Monday, and Connor was trying to get me off the track, I know that.

“He was pushing me. So unless he’s upset with the go-karting, there’s been no bust up,” joked Keane.

Keane revealed that Jack Colback won Ipswich Town’s go-karting competition, although he himself finished second.

“Jack won the go-karting, I was second. But I started eighth so I kind of really won. I had to bump a few out of the way to get there,” added Keane wryly.
