A LATE last-ditch block from Keith Andrews helped Republic of Ireland earn a goalless draw iagainst Russia in the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
As well as heroic performances from Shay Given and Richard Dunne, the Ipswich Town midfielder denied Igor Semshov as Ireland hung on but failed to secure the win to keep qualification in their hands.
Damien Delaney was an unused sub in the Luzhniki Stadium as was club mate Tamas Priskin in Hungary’s 2-0 away win in Moldova and Josh Carson in Northern Ireland’s 4-1 defeat in Estonia.
