WHO would have been a travelling Ipswich football or speedway supporter this year?

If anybody had watched every Blues away fixture in the Coca-Cola Championship and every Evening Star Witches away meeting in the Sky Sports Elite League they would have witnessed just two victories.

Since January 1 2007, Jim Magilton's Ipswich Town have collected three points just twice - 5-2 at Hull City on March 6 and 2-0 at Luton Town on March 31.

John Louis' Ipswich Witches failed to win any of their fixtures away from the Foxhall Stadium in a season that saw them finish just one place off the bottom of the table.

The Blues have played 22 matches on their travels - 12 last season and ten so far during this campaign - and the Witches rode away 22 times during the 2007 speedway season.

So this is a total of 44 fixtures with just two wins, and includes trips to Sunderland, Plymouth, Preston, Belle Vue (Manchester) and Poole.

Is there anybody out there who has literally travelled thousands of miles to witness such a limited success?

BBC Radio Suffolk sports presenters Brenner Woolley and Bryan Knights are trying to find someone who has suffered the pain of witnessing so many defeats - with the occasional draw mixed in.

Ipswich Town have won every home game since losing to Southend on March 10, a total of 12 games.

They have two more opportunities to win away in 2007 with a trip to Bristol City next Tuesday and to Charlton on Saturday week.
