IPSWICH Town spent a total of 376,352 on agents’ fees in one year, according to figures released by the Football League.

The figure – which relates to the time period July 1, 2010 to June, 30, 2011 – compares favourably to many who were in the Championship last season with Town 14th in the fees table.

The annual total relates to 39 transactions made up of 12 new registrations or transfers, nine updated contracts, 10 cancelled contracts and eight loans.

Given the nature of manager Paul Jewell’s shopping spree this summer, this figure is likely to hugely increase in next year’s list following the signings of Lee Bowyer and Jimmy Bullard among others.

QPR head this year’s Football League totals having spent 1,770,282 on agents, closely followed by Middlesbrough and Leicester.
